About Sheila Ravenscroft
Full Name/Title: Sheila Ravenscroft.
Role at Kariandusi School Trust: Patron.
About you: Sheila lives in Suffolk in the house she shared with her husband John Ravenscroft (John Peel). John was the patron of Kariandusi School Trust for several years before his sudden death in 2004, and Sheila has enthusiastically taken over his role. She is an active member of Stowmarket Chorale, and also enjoys singing with a number of local church choirs. She has four children, and two grandsons, Archie and Walter, who take up the rest of her time.
How you aim to help Kariandusi School Trust?: A portion of the profits from a CD on which Sheila collaborated after John’s death, 'John Peel - A Tribute', went towards the Kariandusi School Trust. Other events held in John's name have raised more funds for KST. Sheila visited Kenya early in 2011 and has been active in the KST Food for Thought programme since then.
