To give an idea of how much your donation will help, a tree costs about £1.50, helping to create a micro climate and help children's learning about ecology. A library book on average costs £1.20 and is an invaluable reading and research aid to children who have no other access to books. Sweaters, shorts and skirts, and shoes all cost £5 each. Uniform is compulsory in Kenya, and some children still attend school in bare feet having walked some distance to school. Every penny you can donate will help in some way.
We have no office and no paid staff but plenty of volunteers. Virtually every penny of the monies received will go to the Kariandusi School Trust. This means that by making a donation you are making a tangible difference to the lives of generations of schoolchildren and young people in Kenya.
