Case Study 7 - Karunga Medical Centre

KST has embarked on the rebuilding of this old colonial European farmhouse into a maternity hospital that has been greatly appreciated. Work is soon to restart on Phase 2 of this project. Thanks to a most generous donor, Dr Judith Darmady, the centre has been allocated considerable funds for the procurement of essential stores. The email below, from the local medical technician, gives a flavour of the work being done.

Hi V.C,

I'm happy to hear from you through Mr. Mathenge.  I'm also delighted to hear that Dr Judith has gone an extra mile to ensure that Karunga medical centre maternity has the necessary equipments that will go a long way in ensuring safe motherhood.  Please note that after the last group of Madventurers did the shower and the toilet in our maternity.   There have been so many deliveries in our centre.  This has been appreciated greatly by the people of Karunga.

Hope to hear from you soon.

John
